Ai Voicemail For Therapists And Counselors
Therapists and counselors are in session for most of the day. Voice Mate answers calls during sessions, takes a short message and keeps the tone calm, so new enquiries are not lost and existing clients feel heard.
You will not pick up in the middle of a session, and you should not. But a person who finally found the courage to call and reaches a cold beep may not try again. Voice Mate answers kindly, asks for a name and a number, and lets the caller say in a sentence why they are calling. You read the summary after the session and decide how to respond.
For anything urgent, write in the instructions which number the caller should contact. The assistant can say it every time.
Getting Started
Setup is easy: follow the steps below. You need the Voice Mate app on your phone.
Get the app
-
1. Add an emergency line
In AI prompt, tell the assistant to name the local emergency number or crisis line if a caller says they are in danger.
-
2. Keep the greeting warm and short
Say your name and practice and that you are in session. Avoid long explanations; callers want to be heard quickly.
-
3. Decide how little to keep
Calls contain sensitive information. Delete summaries and recordings you no longer need from the call screen.
-
4. Turn on call forwarding
Tap the forwarding switch in the Voice Mate app and follow the prompt. Your phone company then sends unanswered calls to your Voice Mate number; you can switch it off again with one tap.
