Conditional Call Forwarding Codes Explained

GSM carriers use standard codes to forward calls always, when busy, when unanswered or when unreachable. Knowing the four lets you set up Voice Mate to cover exactly the calls you miss.

Most carriers support these codes, which you dial like a phone number: **21* forwards every call, **67* forwards when you are busy, **61* when you do not answer and **62* when your phone is unreachable. Each is followed by the Voice Mate number and #. To cancel, dial ##002#, which clears all forwarding. Carriers differ in detail, so treat the codes as a guide and check your carrier's page if a code is refused.

The Voice Mate app shows the exact number for your account, so you never have to guess it.

Getting Started

Setup is easy: follow the steps below. You need the Voice Mate app on your phone.

Get the app

  1. 1. Pick when to forward

For most people, 'when unanswered' and 'when unreachable' cover the calls they miss while still ringing normally.

  2. 2. Dial the code with your Voice Mate number

For example, **61* followed by your Voice Mate number and #, then press call.

  3. 3. Repeat for busy and unreachable

Use **67* and **62* the same way if you want those cases covered.

  4. 4. Cancel with ##002#

This clears all forwarding, including the ones you set for Voice Mate.
