What Happens When A Caller Stays Silent
When a caller says nothing, Voice Mate can text them a link to a short form. What they write is added to the call, and you get a notification.
Plenty of people dislike talking to a machine. They hang up, and you are left with a missed call and no idea who it was. When a caller says nothing, Voice Mate can send a text message with a link in the caller's language. The link opens a simple page where they can type their name and message. It works for seven days, once.
You can switch the text on or off in your settings. Messages typed in the form appear in the call as written messages.
Getting Started
Setup is easy: follow the steps below. You need the Voice Mate app on your phone.
Get the app
-
1. Turn on 'Text callers who stay silent'
Open your profile in the app and switch on the option.
-
2. Let the call happen
If a caller does not speak, they receive a text after the call with a link.
-
3. Read the written message
If they respond, it is added to the call and you get a notification.
-
4. Know the limits
Each number is texted at most once every 12 hours, and a link works once, so nobody is spammed.
